Poem (Running Out of Time)
Running Out of Time
Always hurrying,
Always rushing,
Always out of time,
Trying to keep up with everyone else,
Trying to understand everything in life,
Trying it all on a flip of dime,
Running around always,
Running around doing everything,
Running around, trying to deny,
Never dealing with problems,
Never getting rid of your fears
Never can let it go with just a sigh,
Plunging into it all,
Plunging into the new world,
Plunging into everything new,
Letting things get under your skin,
Letting nothing sink into your mind,
Letting everything mess up your life,
Not giving enough time for just you!
This is one of the many poems I have written. This happened to be written when I was fourteen. At that age I dedicated this poem "to all of the people that always use their time for everything and everyone except themselves". Little did I know at that time that me now, am exactly that way. People with big hearts lose a lot, but I think they get to live the most! Sometimes making sacrifices makes you feel like you've done the best thing.
I'll post a few more things up, which will probably more like quotes and maybe some parts of my book/novel. And please DON'T copy this poem unless you ask me about it. I really would like to keep it an original.

Thats such a thoughtful poem, Leann. I really got the feeling that you are trying to get through when I read it. The poem speaks the truth! Keep posting your poems, I love em!
PS: Do you think it will be possible for you to poste your story? I am really interested in reading it!
Your poem really rings true, Leann, as do the comments beneath it. It's ironic that you became one of those people you wrote about earlier in life.
Wow! You're really going to publish your book, eh? Thats so great! Maybe you'll becaome a super star like JK Rolling with Harry Potter, haha! You never know! ^_~
Neat poem! I wish I could write poems.
Hey Leann, it's Cristal from Mrs. Morrison's 3rd period Creative Writing class. Thanks for your comment. That stinks that your aunt is another one that's always sick. But thanks for the sympathy. It's nice when someone shows compassion for a "stranger". That's a very good quality to posess. As for you expressing yourself through your writing...I think that's absolutley amazing. You are right in that my dancing is how I express myself. After September 11th, I was coincidently planning on doing a solo that year to celebrate my 10th year of dancing. My teacher helped convince me to do a tribute solo. And that is what I did. I wore my father's police hat and my neighbor's father's firemen helmet. My neighbor's father died on September 11th. He was in the 1st group of firement to arrive to Ground Zero. I got to show many many people how September 11th had inpacted my life.
Well thanks for the comment. It's nice to start to get to know you. You seem really sweet.
~Cristal
